Florist PhotographyA course by Shane Chua

About

Hello — I’m Shane.

I’m a wedding photographer based in Singapore. For the past decade I’ve been lucky enough to spend my weekends in the company of extraordinarily talented florists.

Almost every one of them, at some point, has said the same thing to me: “My arrangements never look as good in my photos as they do in real life.”

This course is my small attempt at fixing that. It isn’t a sales funnel. There’s nothing to buy at the end of it. It’s simply what I’d teach a friend over coffee, if that friend was a florist who wanted their photos to honour their work.

Everything here is designed around the camera you already own — the phone in your pocket. Modern smartphones are extraordinary instruments, and the gap between “snapshot” and “beautiful” is almost never a gear problem. It’s a seeing problem. These six lessons are about learning to see.

If the course helps you, the kindest thing you can do is share it with another florist who might benefit. And if we ever get to work together at a wedding one day — I’d love that.
