Styling and props

Creating a clean, minimal aesthetic

A single vase of white anemones styled cleanly against a pure white backdrop.

Most florists lose photos to clutter. Stray leaves, clippers, a roll of tape in the corner. Learn the three second habit that fixes 90% of it.

What you’ll learn

  • Achieving a clean, product-ready aesthetic
  • Using a simple white poster board as a backdrop
  • The “corner-check” habit before every photograph

What you’ll need

  • Your smartphone
  • A large white poster board or sheet of foamcore
  • A finished arrangement

Practice exercises

  1. 01

Set up a blank white poster board behind your arrangement. Remove every stray leaf, clipper, and ribbon from the frame, then photograph a single vase with zero background distractions.

  2. 02

Before every shot, do the corner-check: glance at all four corners of the frame and ask “does this belong here?”
